About MSRA Exam

  • The MSRA exam is a specialty entrance examination used for recruitment into UK specialty training. How the MSRI score is used depends on the specialty you are applying for.
  • Some specialties use the MSRA exam solely as a recruitment tool. These include specialties such as General Practice (GP) and Psychiatry, where your MSRI score alone determines your ranking and job offer.
  • Other specialties use the MSRA exam as a screening tool for portfolio interviews. In these cases, your MSRA score determines whether you are shortlisted for an interview. A higher score significantly increases your chances of being invited.
  • Some specialties use the MSRA score as part of the final interview assessment, meaning your overall ranking is calculated using a combination of your MSRA score and interview performance.
